46th Annual Woodcutter’s Ball / Workday - Canyon Camp - October 12th
The Monroe Kiwanis Club is again sponsoring this event and is inviting Kiwanians, Scouters and friends of Canyon Camp to participate!
This annual workday has the primary focus of preparing the camp for the winter camping season. This includes cutting, splitting, and delivering split firewood to the cabins used by Scouts throughout the winter months. Pickup trucks and trailers are very helpful to accomplish the cabin wood project as we will begin the winterization process for camp buildings.
For those who cannot work in the woods, attendance is still encouraged as this workday is used as a time to do routine maintenance to buildings and to ready the camp for the winter camping season.
A light continental breakfast will be available from 8:00–9:00 a.m. with work projects starting at/by 9:00. Lunch will be served at 1:00 p.m. Projects will continue through late afternoon.
You may also use the option to register by sending an email or leaving a phone message to confirm your attendance as this will help in meal and project planning. Thank you!
