Canyon Camp is excited to announce Metalworking as our final new merit badge for the 2020 camping season! Many of the technical processes in use today for metalworking are similar to those employed hundreds of years ago. The early metalworker was familiar, for example, with hammering, embossing, chasing, inlaying, gilding, and other aspects that will be discussed and/or taught in Metalwork Merit Badge.
Created in 1927, Metalwork Merit Badge offers knowledge and skills in a trade dating back to ancient times.
The complete listing of NEW merit badges for 2020 are: Graphic Arts, Textiles, Insect Study, Scouting Heritage, and Metalwork.
